PUMP AND DUMP - CRYPTO-MARKET MANIPULATION

The crypto space has received attention from all and sundry lately...newbies, Wall Street, big financial markets manipulators, and Fortune 500 organizations.

While some are in to support the community, many are in to cash out on unsuspecting traders.

Recently, a syndicated pump and dump group was exposed - investigation and prosecution underway!

What are PUMP AND DUMP GROUP

Simply put, Pump and Dump group are syndicated traders who pulled in big cash to manipulate the market.
Their intention is to create FOMO ( Fear of Missing Out) and then sell off as more people buy into their scheming.

They are present on almost all crypto- exchanger and are ready to dump on amateur traders at a profit.

Often times, they deliberately promote shit coins and ICOs to their followers hoping to cashout once it hits exchanger platforms- it's all about your money!

As a participant in this ecosystem, you need to guide yourself against organized P&D schemes.

That a coin or token is going up or has unrealistic market forecasts does not mean you should opt in without having any other logical explanation.

If you are going to be on the system day trading, that pretty cool and can be advantageous. But stocking up your portfolio with such coin as a long term investment could get your fingers burnt.

If you are following an authority in crypto, a little research will help you make informed decisions. When your $10,000 becomes $0.10, by following a YouTuber or a Tweet, you can't hold anyone responsible. However you will be confidence if it was your personal decision.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW?

1. All crypto markets (especially micro-caps) have the potential to be massively manipulated.

2. Every crypto influencer you know/follow has definitely been approached multiple times by Pump & Dump groups.

3. The ones with integrity won't participate, but it is almost impossible to know.

4. No amount of research can protect you from privately planned pump and dumps.

6. However, always do research -- if you do buy into a pump and dump, at least your coin has a chance of surviving.

As we wait for regulations to hit the crypto communities, we will see these trend reduced to some extent. But while we wait, play safe.
